C.A.R.E.
Goes to GNEX
|
Harrisonburg,
VA – March 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / C.A.R.E.
president, Alain Carr, represented the Cooperative
Association of Resort Exchangers at GNEX’s most recent world conference
held this past February 15th through 18 at the Manchester Grand Hotel in
San Diego. In true GNEX conference form, it was a spectacular event attracting
many of our industry’s greatest leaders from around the world; from legendary
leaders like Westgate’s David Siegel to the very newest innovative minds
in the business.
The
conference included an array of networking opportunities. There were many
existing C.A.R.E. members in attendance and ample opportunities to find
new C.A.R.E. member-worthy companies. The conference included a fast-paced,
high-contact speed networking session, hosted by Jim Madrid and was peppered
with powerhouse panels and inspirational speakers.
Topics
of the conference included an array of highly educational issues designed
to help attendees navigate the challenges faced by the resort industry.
Advice for legacy resorts and those seeking to reform existing programs
was given. Gregory Crist, NTOA, shared some insight into the needs of today’s
vacation owners.
“Once
again Paul Mattimoe has done it!” remarked Carr,” He has successfully created
an arena where you can meet some of the most successful people in
the business in an exceptionally welcoming and inviting fashion.
Where else do you have fun meeting great people while you’re enjoying the
evening on a real decommissioned U.S. aircraft carrier! Hats off! You can
be sure C.A.R.E. will be there for GNEX 2016 to be held February of 2016
in New Orleans.”
About
C.A.R.E. (Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers)
C.A.R.E.
began in 1985 when a handful of resort employees, who had been working
together informally to provide an extra level of service and additional
vacation fulfillment opportunities to their owners, met in New Orleans,
LA and officially started the organization (Cooperative
Association of Resort Exchangers). Today, C.A.R.E.’s membership numbers
more than 140 member companies comprised of Resorts, Developers, Management
and Exchange Companies, Travel Clubs, HOAs, Wholesalers and Service Providers.
Members not only provide each other with opportunities for vacation fulfillment
through exchanges, but offer enhanced revenue opportunities through increased
inventory utilization and yield management.
