Responsible for corporate affairs, Kass will continue to build CLEAR’s government, regulatory, and communications functions. Kass joins CLEAR with extensive experience, most recently serving as VP, Regulatory Affairs at American Airlines and VP of Legal and Government Affairs at US Airways prior to its merger with American Airlines. Before joining US Airways in 2003, Howard was the Director of Regulatory and Economic Analysis at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). “We are thrilled to have Howard on the CLEAR team as we push forward on our mission to create secure, frictionless experiences,” said Chairman and CEO Caryn Seidman Becker. “Howard’s industry experience will be an incredibly valuable asset and I look forward to partnering with him.” Kass, who is based in Washington, D.C., said, “I am absolutely delighted to become part of CLEAR’s leadership team and I look forward to helping further expand CLEAR’s industry-leading capabilities in aviation and elsewhere.” CLEAR’s patented biometric boarding pass solution, currently being piloted by Delta Air Lines, offers passengers a frictionless “curb to gate” airport experience that allows them to move from bag check, through security, into an airport lounge, and onto a plane, with the tap of a finger or the blink of an eye. The company is developing new ways to expand its technology and provide partners access to its secure biometrics capabilities which can enable frictionless travel, access to venues, shopping and more.
