Naples,
FL – September 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Residents
soon will be living in homes on Babcock Ranch, the world’s first solar-powered
town. Clive Daniel Home, the
award-winning design powerhouse and home furnishings retailer, is proud
to have been selected by featured builder Stock Development to provide
total interior design for one of the first residences in the new community.
Babcock Ranch is being developed by Kitson, east of Fort Myers off State
Road 31 in Charlotte County.
Award
winning Clive Daniel Homes interior designers Charlie
Hansen and Rebekah
Errett-Pikosky created an ecoluxe interior for Stock’s Bartow model
that is base priced at $439,990. According to designer Errett-Pikosky,
“The Bartow is not pretentious. It is earthy, refreshing and conveys an
inviting, cozy and ‘welcome’ feel. Furnishings include a lot of earthy
textures, grass cloths with natural fibers like iron, linen and glass to
blend into the environment. Upon entering the study, it is clear that the
round center table is geared toward people using their electronic devices.
The foyer wallpapers introduce the color palette of light natural green
with silvers and pops of ebony. The interior barn door helps convey its
own rustic charm. The home is similar to others within the community with
its front porch and comfortable seating. That is part of the charm of this
model, reminding people of yesteryear.”

The
interior of the Bartow model is very natural and inspired by the environment.
With 2,822-square-feet under air, the three-bedroom lakefront residence
features a great room plan with an island kitchen, study, great room, pool
and two-car garage, and grass cloth wall coverings that play with the living
area’s light grey hardwood flooring. The plan includes a covered front
porch that allows the home to live from front to back while encouraging
interaction with neighbors.
Located
in Lake Timber, the town’s first neighborhood, the Bartow residence is
the fifth lakefront model that Stock is presenting at Babcock Ranch. The
residences at Babcock Ranch are being built to Florida Green Building Coalition
Certification standards.
Phase
One of Babcock Ranch is planned for completion in 2017 and is expected
to house 1,100 residents. Upon final build out, the ranch will have nearly
20,000 homes, all powered by the sun.
Babcock
Ranch is an approximately 17,000-acre planned community under development
in Southwest Florida’s Lee and Charlotte Counties, approved as part of
a public-private partnership with the State of Florida and local governments.
The mammoth development is more than 3,000 acres larger than Manhattan.
