Daniel Home, the award-winning Naples, Florida premier home furnishings
retailer and its hospitality design division, Clive Daniel Hospitality,
has recently been awarded contracts for renovation projects at resorts
and condominiums on Sanibel and Marco Islands.

 According
to Nancy Woodhouse, IDS, VP of Design & Product Development for Clive
Daniel Hospitality and lead designer for the projects, her team is
guiding the new design direction for the corridors at the Royal Seafarer
high-rise condominium on Marco Island. Located at 300 S. Collier Blvd.
on Marco Island’s famed “Crescent Beach” the property’s homeowners’ association
selected Woodhouse to provide a new look for the condominium’s 22 floors
of corridors, including flooring, wall covering, paint, lighting and wall
décor. The association’s goal was to add color and visual impact
off each elevator area. Working in concert with Woodhouse is Clive Daniel
Interior Designer Myra Cogen.
Adds
Woodhouse, “The Royal Seafarer updating was important to help make the
long corridors more inviting and user friendly with materials that are
more durable. Our design scope included adding LED lighting to the corridors,
enhancing the design while impacting the overall light source.” Completion
of the first phase of this project is expected this fall. The Woodhouse
team also prepared a master design plan for all the common areas for the
second phase in 2015.
Further
north on Sanibel Island, Woodhouse and the Clive Daniel Hospitality professionals
are in the process of additional renovation work at the famed Thistle Lodge
restaurant at Casa Ybel Resort. “Our goal is to improve a portion of the
restaurant that was not being fully utilized, creating a wine room featuring
Thistle Lodge’s Private Reserve Wines,” says Woodhouse. “This will involve
the addition of new flooring, large chandeliers, sconces, banquette seating
and a custom winery cabinet to showcase the restaurant’s vast wine selections.
The overall style of the restaurant will have a more intimate feel while
still retaining the historical flavor of the building.”
Completion
of the Thistle Lodge work is expected for the fall. Woodhouse led the total
renovation of the resort’s front desk and reception area in 2013 and a
makeover of the Thistle Lodge veranda to revitalize the space. She also
directed the total renovation of the resort’s 40 individually owned one-bedroom
beachfront condominiums in 2012.

Also
on Sanibel Island, Clive Daniel Home’s hospitality division has won a contract
to provide interior refurbishments for the 15-unit two-bedroom, two-bath
beachfront Hurricane House vacation ownership resort. The new rooms will
feature a brighter, tropical color palate in a coastal theme and will be
completed in September.
