Fish Camp, CA – January
2018 / Newsmaker Alert / Wellness
seekers can renew, reflect and reconnect in the beauty of the High Sierra
thanks to a series of new wellness retreats from Tenaya
Lodge at Yosemite. Offered on select weekends throughout 2018, Tenaya’s
Yosemite Renewal Wellness Retreats are designed to focus on self-care
and mindful reflection through activities such as hiking, guided meditation
in Yosemite National Park, healthy eating, spa treatments and creative
workshops.
The
three-day, two night retreats are offered as a joint venture between Tenaya’s
Double Silver LEED-certified Ascent Spa and Yosemite-based Balanced Rock,
a non-profit dedicated to encouraging health and well-being through connection
with the natural world. Retreat dates for 2018 include: Feb. 9-11, March
2-4, May 4-6, Aug. 24-26 and Nov. 2-4. Each retreat session is limited
to just 30 guests, creating the perfect environment for an intimate personalized
escape. Retreats can be booked online at TenayaLodge.com/spa
beginning Jan. 1, 2018 or by calling 888-514-2167.
“Our
wellness weekends strike the perfect balance between healthy activity and
peaceful indulgence,” says Stacy Duncan, spa manager for Tenaya Lodge.
“The itineraries use the beauty of our natural surroundings to set the
stage for self-reflection and a renewed focus on living to one’s fullest
and healthiest potential.”
The
three-day experience begins at the AAA Four Diamond Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite,
where participants enjoy newly renovated, mountain-luxe lodge accommodations.
Guests begin their journey with a relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatment
at Tenaya’s 10,000 square-foot Ascent Spa, which offers massage, body treatments
and signature facials along with a state-of-the-art gym, spacious saunas
and steam rooms. Participants are then in for a mindful experience with
hiking, meditation, and yoga lead by certified instructors at Balanced
Rock. While each retreat offers a different experience based on season,
the transformational journey often includes an excursion into Yosemite
National Park where guests are surrounded by sounds of roaring waterfalls,
picturesque Yosemite icons, and the fresh aromas of the forest.
Back
at the resort, participants wind down with Sunset Yoga followed by a delicious
dining experience featuring carefully curated menus designed to recharge
and re-energize. A wellness focused workshop is also part of the weekend
and can range from aromatherapy classes to step-by-step instruction on
painting a masterpiece inspired by the majestic Yosemite landscape. The
retreat concludes with guests reflecting over s’mores and wine on the patio—
a favorite Tenaya pastime.
