North, a global hospitality and food service provider, has named Bernard
Gay as the company’s chief information officer.
| Gay is based at Delaware North’s global headquarters in Buffalo, N.Y., and reports to co-CEOs Jerry Jacobs Jr. and Lou Jacobs. In his role, Gay leads all aspects of Delaware North’s information technology (IT) department, including planning, developing, evaluating and implementing strategies to further the organization’s business models and objectives. His responsibilities also include the governance, performance, operations and management of the company’s IT systems and staff. Gay comes to Delaware North with more than 25 years of IT experience, most recently with Brookfield Hospitality Properties in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he served as senior vice president and chief information officer for the massive Atlantis Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas. In that role – in which he served for 10 years – he managed the company’s business and technical vision and directed a strategic organizational transformation. Prior to that, Gay held a variety of IT leadership roles at prominent global companies such as Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Cintas Corporation and Rubbermaid Inc. Gay holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and business administration from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., and a masters of business administration from Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology. He currently serves on the board of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF). About
