North’s parks & resorts division, an authorized concessioner of
the National Park Service, implements environmentally conscious programs
at every national and state park in which it operates, including Yellowstone
National Park and Kalaloch Lodge
in Olympic National Park, both of which were recently recognized for their
effective sustainability efforts.
The National Park Service (NPS) Environmental Achievement Award recognizes a company’s holistic commitment to environmental sustenance. NPS awarded this highly sought after award to the Yellowstone General Stores (YGS). Delaware North operates the retail concessions at 12 general stores in Yellowstone National Park. These stores provide retail, grocery and food and beverage service to millions of visitors in Yellowstone. The award was given for the comprehensive approach to sustainability integrated throughout the YGS operations in the areas of environment, energy and economic performance that coincides with Federal Executive Order.
