Entertainment Benefits Group Celebrates
Opening of $8 Million Ticket & Operations Center

Orlando, FL – March 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Entertainment Benefits Group (EBG) – one of the largest privately held travel and entertainment providers in the U.S. – celebrated its new 45,000 sq. ft. Premier Orlando Ticket and Operations Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday (March 24). Executive leadership from top partners Universal Orlando Resort, Cirque du Soleil and local city officials joined Brett Reizen, president and CEO, to mark the momentous occasion for the growing company.

Committed to creating fun, memorable experiences for its customers and focused on strategic partnerships with its supplier partners, EBG purchased the vacant building for $6.5 million in late 2014 as a result of the company’s rapid expansion and need for more space to deliver on its mission.

“Today marks a special day in EBG’s history,” said Reizen. “The decision to purchase an office building and expand in Orlando was an easy one. It made the most strategic sense because we are located minutes away from our top supplier partners, and it’s where I saw the maximum potential for the company’s future growth.”

At the ceremony, Reizen thanked EBG’s supplier partners who are at the core of the business for their commitment, support and for being the catalyst behind its continued growth and success.

“I thank Universal Orlando Resorts and Cirque du Soleil for believing in our company, especially when we were just starting out nearly fifteen years ago, and for standing by our values and mission as we continue to expand,” said Reizen. “I am honored to call these world class entertainment producers our partners, and proud of how our business has been able to grow together, and will continue to grow together for years to come.”

EBG has grown by over $200 million in the past two years and generates over 5 million admission tickets and hundreds of thousands of hotel rooms annually. After acquiring its competitor Working Advantage this past fall, EBG now has over 40,000 corporate clients, making it the largest, most comprehensive travel and entertainment corporate benefits program provider in the country.

Cirque du Soleil president and CEO, Daniel Lamarre, attended the event and spoke to the entertainment company’s mutually beneficial partnership with EBG.

“I was thrilled for Cirque to partner with EBG after meeting Brett and learning about the company’s early proven success in the Orlando market,” said Lamarre. “EBG accounts for a significant amount of ticket sales across Cirque’s domestic productions, and they enhance our efforts in selling tickets, with their corporate program becoming an extension of our own team.”

Bill Davis, president and COO of Universal Orlando Resorts, also attended the event and spoke about the benefit that collaborating with EBG has had on reaching potential customers nationwide as well as its positive impact on the Orlando travel and entertainment industry.

With nearly 400 employees and a forecasted growth of 100 new positions within the next 18 months in Orlando, EBG is proud to be creating jobs and driving the local economy. As one of the top sellers of attraction tickets and hotel rooms, EBG accounts for approximately 3-5 percent of total visitors to the Orlando area annually.

District 6 Commissioner Samuel Ings, District 1 City Commissioner Jim Gray and other local city officials joined the celebration and presented EBG with a proclamation on behalf of the City of Orlando and Mayor Buddy Dyer, which honored the company’s tremendous impact on the economy and decision to expand its operation in the city.

“With more than 62 million visitors, it is no surprise our tourism industry supports one in every three jobs in Orlando,” said Mayor Buddy Dyer. “What may be surprising is that many of the jobs supported by our tourism industry, like at EBG, are high-quality jobs at innovative companies that help our attractions create memorable experiences or provide the needed technology to connect with its customers. We welcome EBG’s investment in Orlando and support the company’s continued growth in our community.”

After undergoing over $2 million in renovations, the modern office building has become the heart of the company. It is home to the majority of EBG’s employees and its entire operations team, including two-customer service call centers and one of the largest ticket centers in Orlando – where visitors can pick up or purchase tickets. The multi-functional space also features a full-service gym, yoga studio, and meditation rooms for employees to enjoy.

EBG’s commitment to value and fun for its customers and partners carries through to its employees. The belief that happy employees lead to happy customers drives the message behind EBG’s company culture. To deliver on this mission, Reizen has invested a great deal in implementing a unique, unparalleled health and wellness program for all EBG employees. To date, the company has implemented the following initiatives:

  • Provided employees with gym memberships;
  • Built gym facilities in two offices (Vegas and Orlando);
  • Hired coaches and wellness trainers to be on site to focus on physical development, nutrition and mental strength;
  • Sponsored runs and walks for all employees to participate in each office;
  • Introduced quarterly performance coaching sessions for all employees across all 4 EBG offices;
  • Built out meditation rooms;
  • Created opportunities and events for industry professionals and motivational speakers to educate and inspire employees;
  • Rolled out “fun” committees in each office to develop activities, to acknowledge special occasions and to make sure employees are “walking the walk” and having fun in their work environment.
