Daytime Cafe Signs Largest Franchise Agreement to Date
|
Bradenton, FL – January 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / First Watch Restaurants, Inc., the award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant, announced that it has entered into an exclusive Franchise Development Agreement with Best Choice Restaurants, LLC, a newly formed subsidiary of franchise powerhouse Sun Holdings, to develop at least 15 restaurants in Dallas/Ft. Worth during the next five years. The first restaurant is expected to open in late 2015. This will mark First Watch’s debut in the Lone Star State and the largest franchise agreement in the company’s history.

Sun Holdings, Inc. – founded in 1997 and led by President and CEO Guillermo Perales – is ranked by Franchise Times Magazine as the eighth-largest franchise organization in the U.S., boasting more than 400 multi-brand restaurants in multiple states and nearly $450 million in annual revenue. Perales is a highly regarded businessman and restaurant operator who has guided his company through tremendous growth. He has been named four times to Latino Leaders Magazine’s 101 Most Influential Latinos in the U.S. list and is well-known in his home state for giving back to the community. Best Choice will be led by Perales and its COO Luis Ibarguengoytia.

“First Watch is a highly differentiated brand that represents the ‘new guard’ in the growing Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch segment, and I saw an opportunity to be a significant player in its growth,” said Perales. “I believe that First Watch will fill a substantial gap in the Dallas market with its fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch and award-winning menu.”

“Dallas and Ft. Worth are full of diverse neighborhoods bursting with restaurants, music, sports and culture, and we’re thrilled to bring First Watch’s nationally recognized food to such a vibrant community,” said Ken Pendery, president and CEO of First Watch. “Texas is uncharted territory for us, but we are eager to get to know the people of Dallas and share with them the fresh ingredients, healthy alternatives and welcoming atmosphere that First Watch offers. We are fortunate to have experienced development partners like Guillermo and Luis working with us.”

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
