Back To News/PR Index | | Forever Resorts: Media Alert / Photo Opportunity | Media Invited to Bring Cameras to Lake Oroville Marina, Bidwell Canyon Marina to Photograph Rising Lake Levels | | What: Thanks to heavy rains associated with El Nino, Northern California lakes are filling up, including Lake Oroville. The lake rose 99 feet in March, adding more than a 1 million acre-feet of water. The current lake level is 868 feet, 114 percent of its historic average level. Since the low lake level of 649.51 feet on Dec. 10, 2015, the lake has risen more than 218 feet. And it’s still rising—with the current snow pack, the lake should rise to the 900-foot mark, making it “full pool.” Members of the press are invited to bring their cameras out to Lake Oroville to document this much-hoped-for development at one of California’s most popular recreational lakes. Forever Resorts’ marina staff at Lake Oroville and Bidwell Canyon marinas are available to take journalists out on the lake in powerboats or houseboats to see firsthand the abundance of water available for recreational opportunities this spring and summer.
