Forever Resorts Launches “Find Your Park” Initiative in
Honor of National Park Service’s 100th Anniversary
|
Guests Encouraged to Donate $1 for Every Overnight
Stay to Support our National Parks

Scottsdale, AZ – July 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / Scottsdale-based resort operator Forever Resorts announces the “Find Your Park: One Night, One Dollar” initiative. Now available through Dec. 31, 2016, Forever Resorts will encourage guests staying at its overnight accommodations in and adjacent to national parks to earmark $1 per night for non-profit organizations. Funds raised will support improvements to our National Park Service, which celebrates its centennial year in 2016.

Find Your Park is a public awareness campaign that invites the next generation of park visitors, supporters and advocates to discover that a park can be more than a single place. It can be a feeling of inspiration or a sense of community that comes from volunteering. There is a national park in every state, and the National Park Service is encouraging people to find their park and to share their experiences at FindYourPark.org.

Based on projected occupancy levels across each of Forever Resorts lodges, the “Find Your Park: One Night, One Dollar” campaign has the potential to collect more than $175,000 for organizations that support national parks.

In recent years, Forever Resorts has engaged in $1-per-room-night donations at many of its destinations, including Rocky Mountain Park Inn in Estes Park, Colo., supporting the Rocky Mountain Nature Conservancy; the Lodge at Bryce Canyon, supporting the National Park Foundation, Inc.; the Badlands Lodge and Badlands Inn, supporting the Badlands National History Association; Chisos Mountains Lodge, supporting the Big Bend Natural History Association and Rock Harbor Lodge in Isle Royale National Park, MI. These efforts have raised more than $527,000 over the past seven years for these non-profit agencies that support the national parks.

“People enjoy supporting causes close to them and we know our guests love our national parks just as much as we do,” says John Schoppmann, executive vice president, Forever Resorts. “We want to make it easy to have a memorable vacation and do something that makes our guests feel good at the same time.”

Forever Resorts’ properties participating in the Find Your Park: One Dollar, One Night campaign include lodges in and surrounding some of the nation’s most scenic and cherished recreational parklands: Badlands Inn and Badlands Lodge at Badlands National Park, South Dakota; Lodge at Bryce Canyon in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah; Chisos Mountains Lodge at Big Bend National Park, Texas; Cottonwood Cove Marina at Lake Mohave in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Nevada; Grand Canyon Lodge – North Rim at Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona; Mammoth Cave Hotel in Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky; Rocky Mountain Park Inn outside Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado; and Signal Mountain Lodge in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
