Rochelle Zambrowicz as Winner of #MyNatureSelfie
Contest Celebrating National Park Service
|
Grand-Prize Winner to Receive Weekend Stay at a Forever Resorts Destination
|
Scottsdale, AZ – October 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / In celebration of the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary, Forever Resorts launched its #MyNatureSelfie photo contest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram over the summer and has named its Grand Prize Winner: Rochelle Zambrowicz, from Eastanollee, Georgia, who posted her winning photograph on Instagram using the handle @upsidedownnomad. She will receive a three-day, two-night stay for four visitors at the Forever Resorts park destination of her choice in 2017.

Zambrowicz traveled from her home in Georgia to the West this past summer with her husband to visit family in Montana and the Southwest. Along the way, they made a point of visiting several destinations, including Glacier National Park (where the winning photograph was taken), Sequoia, Joshua Tree and Yosemite. They’re avid travelers and hikers and look forward to choosing which of Forever Resorts’ extraordinary outdoor recreational destinations they will visit for their grand-prize trip.

“Our judges loved not only the photograph’s unique—and gravity-defying—composition, but also its element of fun,” explained Darla Cook, vice president of public relations and events, Forever Resorts. “They felt like if they were traveling with @upsidedownnomad they, too, would be having an amazing time in the outdoors.”

To participate in the contest, visitors to any U.S. park were encouraged to snap a selfie and, in five words or less, describe why they love that park. Then, they were instructed to share their selfie via social media, being sure to tag @ForeverResorts and use the hashtag #MyNatureSelfie, for a chance to win.

Prizes were awarded weekly and monthly for the contest’s duration. Zambrowicz was May’s monthly winner, prior to being selected as the Grand Prize Winner for the entire contest. Participating destinations include places such as Signal Mountain Lodge in Grand Teton National Park, Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim, Cedar Pass Lodge at Badlands National Park and The Lodge at Bryce Canyon—as well as Forever Resorts’ houseboating destinations at places like Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Mead and Lake Mohave in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
