According to GPR’s Sharrie McIntosh, who has organized this tournament since GPR began its sponsorship said, “The Christel House tournament raises funds that transform the lives of more than 3,800 children around the world, by breaking the cycle of poverty, empowering them to realize their hopes and dreams and become self-sufficient contributing members of society. Christel House (www.ChristelHouse.org) supports learning centers and outreach programs in India, Mexico, South Africa, Serbia, Venezuela and the United States. “We couldn’t have possibly done this without the support of our sponsors,” continue Sharrie. “We are grateful to have them aboard to show their support for this important cause.” “No child deserves to live in poverty,” said David Brown, co-president of the Carlsbad-based Grand Pacific Resorts. “The Christel House Open International Charity Golf Tournament is one way we contribute to this excellent organization which is committed to break the cycle of poverty. Each year hundreds of members of the worldwide timeshare community head to the golf course to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of children. Christel House addresses the root cause of poverty through a holistic human development model and we at Grand Pacific Resorts are proud to help by sponsoring this tournament.” About
