Back To News/PR Index | Grand Pacific Resorts Partners with Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe to Provide “Furrever” Homes | Animal Shelter Receives $1,200 from Timeshare Management Company to Support Its Lifesaving Work with Cats and Dogs in Lake Tahoe Community | "Families are at the heart of what we do,” explained Renee Wagner, RRP, Director of Marketing at Grand Pacific Resorts, “And at the heart of many families is a beloved pet. We believe every cat and dog deserves a 'furrever' home. That's why we're proud to support the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe." Wagner
presented the check to Dale Lawrence, Development Manager, and Kara Carstensen,
Adoption Specialist and Community Spay/Neuter Program Manager, who were
accompanied by several of the shelter’s canine beneficiaries. A video of
the check presentation is now available.
The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe will use the donation to continue its local programs, which include animal adoptions, pet-assisted therapy, and low-cost spay and neuter services. According to Lawrence, “It’s thanks to generous donors like Grand Pacific Resorts that the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is able to save so many lives. This donation will provide food, vaccinations, and spay or neuter surgeries for a litter of puppies and their mother.” ResorTime, the rental site for Grand Pacific Resorts, is also featured on the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe with the opportunity for it to receive a second donation. ResorTime hosts a quarterly giving program, beCause Destination Matters, in which its guests vote for their favorite non-profit to receive $2,500. Recent recipients include the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Pacific Cancer Fitness. About
