Spriggs, President and CEO of Hospitality
Management Corporation (HMC), announces the promotion of Libby Shaw
to Vice President of Human Resources. She will be responsible for a wide
variety of duties including the administration and management of recruitment
and staffing, benefits administration, supervise workers’ compensation
and ongoing development and training. She will also handle all personnel
issues associated with managed property transitions and new hotel openings.
Libby
brings over 10 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry
and holds a degree in Hotel, Travel and Tourism. She previously held the
position with HMC of Corporate Director and Assistant Director of Human
Resources, as well as having a strong administrative background having
been a hotel General Manager with HMC.
Bill
Sullivan, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for HMC noted
Shaw’s integral role within the company, “Libby will continue to lead the
direction of our Human Resources strategy, focused on fulfilling HMC’s
mission to be an outstanding employer, provider and partner of hotel properties
throughout the industry. She will direct initiatives enhancing employee
experiences, strengthen performance management and improve recruitment
and retention. We are delighted to name her as new Vice President of Human
Resources.”
