located in the Georgian Bay tourist town of Honey Harbour, is growing once
again. The popular housekeeping cottage resort continues to expand with
the addition this year of twenty-nine new boat slips that have been added
to their onsite marina facility and the construction of a new 3-bedroom
cottage soon to be completed. Plans are also underway to build several
brand-new 3-bedroom cottages to replace some of their older 2-bedroom units.
With
the addition of twenty-nine new boat slips, Hall's Cottages marina will
have a total of 104 in-water boat slips. Approximately half of the slips
have power and water at the dock. According to resort owners Rick and Diane
Vanderwal, as of this week they still have some slips available for this
season. They anticipate that these slips will go fast as boat dockage at
Honey Harbour is always at a premium. Honey Harbour is the jump-off point
for hundreds of Georgian Bay cottagers. It is where they keep their boats
to get to their island and water-access only cottages. Honey Harbour is
also the gateway for transient yachts that are traveling up from the south
and entering the 30,000 Islands for the summer cruising season.
Hall's
Housekeeping Cottage's new 3-bedroom rental cottage will be approximately
1,200 sq. ft. It may be rented as a package with a nearby separate 1-bedroom
cottage for an affordable 4-bedroom cottage for only $1,700 a week. This
package provides four bedrooms, two kitchens and two 4-piece bathrooms
at an attractive price. Next season, construction will begin on the 3-bedroom
cottages that will replace several existing older 2-bedoom cottages. All
rental cottages at Hall's Cottages are self-catering with full kitchens
that are well-equipped. As well, guests have complimentary use of the resorts
canoes and paddle boats. Hall's Cottages also has five fishing boats that
guests may rent.
For

30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay has contributed to their continuing success.
