Back To News/PR Index | | New Luxury Suites at Maine’s Inn by the Sea Will Open Summer 2017 | The
rebuild combines traditional coastal shingle architecture with contemporary
interiors, embracing the Inn’s beach location through design, texture,
and locally inspired artwork. Ten stylishly up to date two bedroom Cove
Suites will overlook the seaside lawn and gardens with partial ocean views,
and two high end, over sized luxury Beach Suites will have stunning views
of the Atlantic. All 12 suites have been designed with comfortable spaces
for both intimate romantic dinners or entertaining inside or outdoors on
furnished decks. Enjoying a privileged location on a mile of unspoiled
sand beach, Inn by the Sea has welcomed generations of family and friends,
year round, to experience quintessential Maine vacations that create lasting
memories.
“Our challenge in planning was to make sure we met guest expectations for modern luxury accommodations while preserving the Inn’s relaxed coastal charm,” stated Briggs. “Construction details as well as the guest experience have been considered to create a stay that is uniquely our own- shaped by regional influences and our beach location, then paired with an unparalleled level of comfort and service.” Ten two bedroom Cove suites will be built with vacationing family and friends in mind offering two separate bedrooms, one with a King and one with two queen beds, ample living and dining space to gather and socialize fully equipped kitchens, one full bath and furnished outdoor deck. Two spacious 1,300 square foot luxury suites with spectacular direct ocean views will feature two bedrooms, one with a King and one with two queens, two bathrooms, dining area for ten, fully equipped kitchens, large open living area for entertaining or relaxing near the indoor/outdoor fireplace, and outdoor furnished decks overlooking the Atlantic. Décor by Natalie Sheedy Interiors, Inc. pairs solid teak and wicker furnishing with unexpected details in milk glass, wood and bead board, hard wood floors with throw rugs and a mixed palette of taupe and red, with flashes of turquoise and orange. Artwork speaks to the sense of place with nautical images and local harbor scenes. Wright-Ryan, a renowned construction firm in Portland, working with Kaplan Thomson architects, will be responsible for construction. About
