Favorites in Nashville and Las Vegas Top the List, While Los Angeles’ The Abbey
Takes Home a Lyftie Award for the Second Year in a Row

San Francisco, CA – January 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Lyft, the fastest-growing rideshare company in the U.S., has announced the winners of the second annual Lyftie Awards, an awards program that celebrates the businesses and points of interest with the most Lyft passenger drop-offs throughout the year.

“2016 has been a year of incredible momentum for Lyft. The same can be said about our passengers who make their communities vibrant by uncovering today’s most popular places to eat, drink and stay,” said Melissa Waters, Vice President of Marketing. “Congratulations to 2016’s Lyftie Award winners, the Lyft community loves you!”

Spanning coast to coast, 2016’s most dropped off destinations and national Lyftie Award winners are:

  • Most Visited Restaurant: ACME Feed & Seed, Nashville
  • Most Visited Bar: The Abbey, Los Angeles
  • Most Visited Hotel: MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas
  • Most Visited Transit Stop: Union Station, Washington D.C.
  • Top Tourist Destination: Navy Pier, Chicago
In LA, The Abbey won for the second year in a row, proving it’ll be tough to unseat what is arguably the best gay bar in the country. Not only did Nashville’s ACME Feed & Seed take top spot in the restaurant category, it’s also a favorite of Lyft’s Nashville office, located just a block away.

“We see Lyft cars in front of The Abbey and our new club, The Chapel, all night, every night. Lyft has made things so much more convenient and safe for our guests that we are currently working with the City of West Hollywood to install a permanent drop-off point directly in-front of The Abbey,” said David Cooley, CEO & Founder Of The Abbey Food & Bar.

This year, the Lyftie Awards expanded to celebrate restaurants, bars, hotels, transit stops and attractions in 24 markets, including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Chicago, Miami, Denver and more.

From the history making World Series run at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and parties with Beyoncé at Silicon Valley’s San Pedro Square Market Bar to Dallas’ most award-winning BBQ at Pecan Lodge, every destination is a part of the Lyft community’s story. To see the full list of winners in each of the 24 markets, visit the Lyftie Awards website.

Passengers across the U.S. choose Lyft daily to connect with their community, transform their commute and discover new locales. The Lyftie Awards are proof of Lyft’s continued growth and they demonstrate Lyft’s commitment to the cities in which the service operates. Earlier this year, an economic impact study showed that Lyft generated more than $750 million in extra spending in local economies.
