Saratoga, WY – May 2017 / Newsmaker Alert / Magee Homestead, the boutique health and wellness retreat that opened last year as part of the Brush Creek Luxury Ranch Collection, announces that it will open for the 2017 summer season on May 17. In its second year of operation, Magee Homestead will showcase a new “pasture to plate” culinary program, featuring Ranch-raised Akaushi beef and a greenhouse, as well as new spa experiences providing the ultimate in indulgence and relaxation.

A luxurious prairie hideaway on 7,000 acres of historic Wyoming ranchlands in the high mountain desert of the American West, Magee Homestead affords sophisticated exclusion for adults 21 years and older, where guests can escape from the hectic world outside while reconnecting with one another through a truly personalized experience. Its nine individual cabins, private lodge, outdoor pool and cabanas and full suite of spa and wellness experiences and activities also allows for supremely private intimate weddings, vow renewals, corporate retreats and multi-generational family vacations for up to 27 guests of all ages.

Under the guidance of new Chef de Cuisine AJ Buchanio, Magee Homestead will have an entirely new menu this year featuring a “pasture to plate” program, including Ranch-raised Akaushi beef and an on-Ranch greenhouse. Magee Homestead’s menu will feature the Ranch-raised Akaushi beef, which has a rich, buttery flavor as well as juiciness and tenderness throughout. Highlights include a Akaushi New York Strip Steak with smashed potatoes, grilled mushrooms, caramelized shallot and red wine jus; and Akaushi Beef Tenderloin Tartare with Castelvetrano olives, pickled mustard seed, egg yolk vinaigrette and seeded country bread.

The health and wellness focus at Magee Homestead means the menu is plentiful with fruits and vegetables, which this year will be harvested from the on-Ranch greenhouse which has a total growing volume of 19,440 square feet and will produce 106 different items. Highlights include a Raw Vegetable Crudité accompanied by green goddess dressing and roasted garlic hummus; and a Quinoa Grain Bowl featuring baby kale, snap peas, sweet corn, clementine, grilled carrot, avocado, crispy oyster mushrooms and a basil pesto dressing.

Rejuvenation at Magee Homestead begins at the Wellness Pavilion featuring the Magee Spa, offering two treatment rooms, a Grotto soaking pool as well as sauna and steam rooms, expansive fitness center, heated outdoor swimming pool with four western-themed cabanas, spacious sun decks and outdoor fire pit, as well as poolside dining with expansive views. A full suite of luxury spa experiences is offered with new features this year including several multi-day packages:

  • Mountain Air Retreat: A sequence of three daily 90-minute treatments designed to detox the body from the stress of everyday life including Vedic Body Treatment, Wildflower Fields Massage and Mountain Air Facial and Reflexology Treatment.
  • Root to Rise Package: One 2-hour treatment per day that guide the guest through a balancing sequence of earth, water and air elements including Wind River Salt Stone Massage, Pranayama Raindrop Treatment and Flawless Face and Silver Spur facial and body treatment.

Magee Homestead will host a variety of packages and events in 2017 including:

Toast of the Prairie: Joseph Phelps Vintner & Culinary Showcase featuring Napa Valley Winemaker Ashely Hepworth the weekend of July 13-16, 2017. Guests will enjoy exclusive wine dinners and intimate winemaker seminars to include Insignia blending and Barrel Aging Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, along with classic luxury ranch adventures and wellness experiences on the Homestead.

East Meets West Luxury Ranch Vacation Offer: This best of both worlds package allows deeper immersion into the spellbinding tranquility and classic Rocky Mountain adventure of the West by offering a $500 travel credit per person with any 7-Night Vacation Escape at Magee Homestead.

Magee Homestead offers a sophisticated luxury Ranch experience for adults 21 and older, although a “Rent the Homestead” private buyout allows for guests of all ages, including children. Pricing starts at $1,000 per person, per night, and is inclusive of all lodging, gourmet chef-prepared cuisine, premium beers, wines and spirits; extensive wellness programming including yoga, Pilates and meditation in a variety of settings; fitness programs include hiking and biking on over 50 miles of trails; and classic Western adventures including horseback riding, fly fishing, ranger tours, Gun Club and archery. Excludes spa treatments and elite a la carte experiences. A 23 percent Ranch Fee (inclusive of all gratuities and all applicable taxes) also applies.
