magazine-style publication will provide visitors with information on all
there is to see and do in and around Marina del Rey, while the destination
video showcases the vibrant energy of the Marina waters, hotels, dining,
and events.

located only four miles from Los Angeles International Airport, Marina
del Rey enters it sixth decade with the redevelopment of iconic attractions
such as Pier 44 and other upcoming projects, as well as the sustained growth
in its tourism industry led by renovations to the Marina del Rey Hotel,
new restaurants, and the expansion of many of the world’s technology giants
into “Silicon Beach.”

Marina del Rey Hotel Reopens:
The
Marina’s iconic first hotel has reopened on the waterfront after a $25
million renovation with amenities that include 164 updated rooms and suites
and the new restaurant, SALT, featuring views of the Marina and seasonal
menus sourced from the area’s famous local farmers markets, multiple meeting
and events facilities and boat slips allowing access to L.A.’s Marina.
April
10-12 – MarinaFest:
A
three-day birthday celebration, capped with a performance by Three Dog
Night and fireworks spectacular over the harbor. Other activities include
a boat show, parade of Tall Ships, free boat rides, as well as rides and
games for children.

- Harbor Cruises with History:
Hornblower
Cruises & Events will conduct tours around the Marina, highlighting
the water destination’s 50 years of history. A favorite location for Hollywood
filming, Marina del Rey is featured prominently in many TV shows and movies
including the famous opening credits of Gilligan’s Island as the home of
the departing S.S. Minnow.
