Back To News/PR Index | Naples Lakes Country Club Recognized for Environmental Excellence | Endorsed
by the US Golf Association, the Audubon Sanctuary program provides information
and guidance to help golf courses preserve and enhance wildlife habitat
and protect natural resources.
“Naples Lakes Country Club has shown a strong commitment to its environmental program. They are to be commended for preserving the natural heritage of the area by protecting the local watershed and providing a sanctuary for wildlife on the golf course property,” said Tara Donadio, Director of Cooperative Sanctuary Programs at Audubon International. “To reach certification, a course must demonstrate that they are maintaining a high degree of environmental quality in a number of areas,” he added. These include Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management. Courses go through a recertification process every three years. Located at 4784 Naples Lakes Boulevard, Naples Lakes Country Club (NaplesLakesFL.com) is a private 490-acre gated golf course and country club community where full membership is included with every residence. The course is currently spending $3.2 million to renovate its Arnold Palmer-designed championship golf course. Completion of the new course is expected in November 2017. Contact:
