headline a long day of rock hard music as the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR
Festival roars into the Great New York
State Fair Grandstand beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, State
Fair Acting Director Troy Waffner announced. Tickets priced at $60, $50
and $40 go on sale at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 20 at the State Fair Box Office
and via the Fair’s only official online ticket agent, etix.com.
Also appearing on the twin
stages of the all-day music event are Skillet, Pop Evil, Escape The Fate,
Suicide Girls, Redlight King , Three Years Hollow, Sons of Revelry (2013
UPROAR Battle of the Bands winner), and two more bands to be announced
later.
21st century hard rock titans
Godsmack have sold more than 20 million records worldwide. The band’s new
smash single “1000hp” recently debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock chart,
and Godsmack will release their sixth full length album 1000hp on August
5. Frontman and founder Sully Erna said, “UPROAR Festival has been a long
part of Godsmack’s history. We can’t wait to get out with some of our longtime
friends and play our new music for our fans.”

UPROAR veterans Godsmack, Escape The Fate and Redlight King back for another
year and also can’t wait to hit the road with all the other amazing rock
bands joining us for the first time. We look forward to creating an incredible
UPROAR experience for rock fans in every city we visit,” said festival
producers John Oakes and John Reese.

hard rock a way to spend the entire day enjoying the music they love and
interacting with their musical heroes. We’re pleased to welcome UPROAR
back to the Fair and encourage music fans to check our diverse lineup of
acts this year,” said Waffner.
The Rockstar Energy UPROAR
Festival will entertain fans for a full afternoon and evening, with performances
from the hottest rock bands on the UPROAR Main Stage and Festival Stage,
along with a concourse midway featuring band autograph signings, vendors
and other activities.
At the Grandstand,
very limited tickets remain available for the Saturday, Aug. 30 concert
by Jason Aldean with Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. Tickets remain

About Grandstand Ticket Sales
Etix.com is the Fair’s official
and only online ticket selling agent. Ticket prices are the same whether
tickets are bought online at etix.com, on the phone at 1-800-514-3849,
or in person at the box office. A $3.75 service fee will be added to the
price of all tickets. An additional fee will be charged for the use of
a credit card. There is a purchasing limit of 8 tickets per person. Most
major credit cards are accepted. Your advance-sale concert ticket includes
admission to the Fair.
Parking for box office sales
is available in the Brown lot beginning at 5:30 a.m., and lineup can begin
at 6 a.m. Tickets for people who require wheelchair accessible seating
or who have mobility disabilities, or those who are hearing impaired will
go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets. Convenient parking
for people with disabilities who have either the proper license plate or
hanging tag will be available via Gate 2.
The New
York State Fair, operated by the New
York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, runs from August
21 – September 1, 2014. The Fair’s mission, reflected in its 2014 theme,
“Summer’s Best in Show,” is to showcase the best of New York agriculture
while providing top-quality entertainment. This year’s tagline – “New Attractions,
Old Favorites, Timeless Fun” – highlights the more than two dozen new events
and attractions and the expansion or enhancement of several Fairgoer favorites.
In addition to the annual
New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events
throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious
horse and livestock shows.
The home of the Great New
York State Fair is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates
