Newly created roles recognize increased focus on brand and service
alignment as company continues to expand global footprint

Miami, FL – June 2016 / Newsmaker Alert / Nobu Hospitality, named one of luxury’s 25 Most Innovative Brands by Robb Report, announces the promotion of Rachael Palumbo to the newly created role of Vice President, Hotel Sales and Marketing and also the promotion of Heather Hedrick to the newly created role of Director of Hotel Learning and Quality.

Effective June 1, 2016, Rachael’s position includes responsibility for worldwide hotel brand, public relations, marketing, and sales. Under Rachael’s oversight, hotel brand strategy, positioning and messaging shall be focused into a consistent framework, and hotel sales efforts will be further expanded to increase opportunities as Nobu Hospitality extends its global hotel portfolio. Rachael shall also continue to head up sales and marketing efforts at Nobu Eden Roc.

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality sector, Rachael brings a powerful network to her new role. Rachael previously spent more than six years at One Only Resorts where she directly oversaw sales and marketing efforts at One&Only Ocean Club. Prior to this appointment, Palumbo spent over ten years at Starwood Hotels in sales and marketing strategically planning and implementing marketing opportunities at Westin, Sheraton, Le Méridien and W Hotel brands. Prior to Starwood, Palumbo worked with Swissôtel and Ritz-Carlton hotels.

Heather Hedrick
Effective June 1, 2016, Heather’s position includes responsibility for leading Nobu Hotels’ professional development programming and monitoring service quality and efficiency. Heather will have oversight of and implement hotel learning, talent and leadership development strategies to strengthen colleague engagement and service delivery standards across Nobu Hotels developing and enhancing our talent and evolving future Hotel leaders. Heather shall also continue to head up Learning and Quality at Nobu Eden Roc.

Heather, a former teacher, was previously the learning and development manager at the Forbes Five-Star Mandarin Oriental in New York City. Heather was also the training manager at Kiawah Island Golf Resort which includes the Forbes Five-Star Sanctuary Hotel near Charleston, South Carolina.
