The charity received the most votes during the first quarter of ResorTime’s crowd source giving contest on ResorTime.com. “I
Heart Military is grateful for this donation and will use it to provide
homemade meals for our wounded, ill and injured who are recuperating away
from home,” said Beverly Trout, Founder of the Wounded Warrior Support
Network. “When our brave heroes are deployed, their family is their unit.
When they become injured, they are often placed away from friends and family.
Generous donations like this provide assistance, and support systems creating
good spirits and happy times helping our heroes recuperate together.”
I Heart Military also operates other programs for Wounded Warriors, including Meals to Heal, where homemade meals are delivered to warriors in recovery, and Christmas for Veterans, a holiday celebration for hundreds of military family members. Additionally, I Heart Military organizes family reunions and events, and assists Wounded Warriors with career transition. I Heart Military was founded in 2007 and its volunteers are committed to serving their country by serving those who serve. ResorTime’s giving program is proud to make an impact to four causes every year.
