Derek Bouchard-Hall, the chief executive officer of USA Cycling, will serve as an expert presenter and facilitator of the SportsTravel Road Trip’s educational program. Bouchard-Hall took over at USA Cycling last year following the retirement of long-time president and CEO Steve Johnson. A former professional cyclist, Bouchard-Hall raced from 1994 to 2002, winning the 2000 U.S. Pro Criterium and competing that year at the Sydney Olympics. With degrees from Princeton and Stanford and an MBA from Harvard, he has worked for McKinsey, a management consulting firm, where he focused on designing and implementing change programs across a range of commercial and governmental organizations. He has also served as a key executive at Wiggle, the largest global online cycling and triathlon retailer.

Bouchard-Hall’s background as an Olympian and professional athlete, combined with his experience in sports-related business makes him well versed in the various issues facing sports organizations. At the SportsTravel Road Trip, Bouchard-Hall will discuss ways to develop a high performance organizational culture.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour USA Cycling’s headquarters building. The spacious facility features cycling imagery, artwork and memorabilia throughout, including in the state-of-the-art meeting space where the educational sessions will be held. The SportsTravel Road Trip is a by-invitation-only event curated for sports organization CEOs and event directors. To request your invitation, please call 877-577-3700.
