Cliffs, a collection of seven private luxury mountain and lake club
communities in the western Carolinas, announced the reopening of The
Cliffs Valley golf course after a 15-week renovation. Nestled amid
the Blue Ridge Mountains, the course rejoins a roster of nationally-acclaimed
golf courses at each of The Cliffs’ seven communities.
Designed
by Cliffs member and renowned golf broadcaster Ben Wright, the parkland-style
course follows the land’s natural contours and elevation changes, challenging
members to play over and around streams, ponds and rolling hills. The half-million
dollar overhaul included conversion of all golf putting surfaces to Champion
Bermudagrass as well as the addition of one fairway bunker, one greenside
bunker and expanding two fairway bunkers.
