Troon Announces 2017 Troon Challenge Schedule

The annual Troon Challenge is Troon’s largest amateur golf event, attracting more than 1,200 loyal golfers competing in regional qualifying events across the United States. Two-person teams in both Net and Gross Divisions will vie for the chance to qualify for the National Finals to be held in Scottsdale Ariz. August 25-27, 2017. The Troon Challenge National Finals will feature a rotation of golf courses with tournament rounds being played at Boulders Resort & Spa (North Course) and Troon North Golf Club (Pinnacle Course).

Qualifying events kicked off April 2nd at Shadow Hills Golf Club in Indio, Calif. Entry into any qualifying event includes green fee, cart, practice balls, event prizes, and a post-tournament awards reception.

“Regional qualifying for the 2017 Troon Challenge presented by Callaway Golf will be held at a number of Top 100, Best-in-State, and facilities that host PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour events,” said Kris Strauss, vice president, sales and marketing, Troon. “Huge national competitions such as this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our frequent players, the incredible golf courses and of course, our supporting event partners. We encourage amateurs across the country to tee it up in a qualifying event as we’d love to see them in Scottsdale this August.”

The 2017 Troon Challenge is presented by Callaway Golf, along with supporting partners Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, Pepsi and Ship Sticks.
