Wilmington,
NC – March 2015 / Newsmaker Alert / After a long, arduous winter
across the U.S., it’s time to go with the flow…and see where the water
takes you. A spring “holidaycation” to a coastal destination like Wilmington
and the island beaches of Carolina
Beach,
Kure Beach and Wrightsville
Beach can provide the ideal respite. Here visitors find one destination
with four unique coastal settings and outdoor activities galore.
Spring has arrived in Wilmington,
North Carolina and its island beaches, with high temperatures often reaching
into the 60s and 70s. Nature’s beauty is showcased along the shoreline
and in Wilmington’s historic river district, recently voted the #1 Best
American Riverfront (USA TODAY 10Best Reader’s Choice). From the river
to the sea there are parks and gardens in bloom, as well as abundant outdoor
recreational opportunities for hiking, cycling, paddling, surfing, fishing,
and golfing. Visitors will also enjoy the Carolina Beach Boardwalk’s renovations,
Kure Beach Oceanfront Park’s seaside playground, and The Loop fitness trail
at Wrightsville Beach. Perhaps best of all, Wilmington, N.C. & Island
Beaches is affordable with accommodations in all price ranges and budget-friendly
