Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone to Return to the Fair for 14th Appearance
||
Syracuse, NY – February 2024 / NewsmakerAlert: The Great New York State Fair is pleased to welcome back a fan favorite act to its Chevrolet Music Series this summer. Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will return to The Fair to play through their hits at Chevy Court at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26.

Known for hits including “I’m Henry the VIII I Am,” “I’m Into Something Good,” and “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits rose to fame in the early 1960s. Peter was just 15 years old when the legendary pop band started to climb the charts! Through the years, the group has amassed fourteen hit singles, seven gold albums, and sold more than 52 million recordings. The band still performs more than 200 concerts each year. Their appearance on Monday August 26 will be their 14th time playing at The Great New York State Fair.

“Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone is a show that fairgoers rave about year after year. Peter’s stage presence is incredible, but more than that, I think it’s because these songs are timeless and apply to people of all ages,” said Fair Director Sean Hennessey. “It’s so fun to look out into the crowd and see that everyone in the audience knows the words. When you can bring generations together like Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, you deserve a reoccurring spot in The Fair’s musical line-up!”

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. Admission will go on sale later this summer.

The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series will feature a total of 39 national recording acts, all included with the price of Fair admission.
