Syracuse,
NY – February 2024 / NewsmakerAlert: The Great
New York State Fair latest concert announcement draws from the heart:
Chapel Hart will return to Chevy Court this summer. Known
for their three-part A Capella harmonies, the trio – featuring sisters
Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin, Trea Swindle – will sing at 6
p.m. on Thursday, August 29.
Chapel Hart rose to fame
after being the second group in America’s Got Talent (AGT)’s history
to win the “Golden Buzzer Award” in 2022, wowing judges and winning millions
of fans after performing “You Can Have Him Jolene,” but the trio has sung
together since they were children. In fact, the A Capella family’s group
name is inspired by the place where they started singing, Hart’s Chapel,
a community in Poplarville, Mississippi where the girls were raised. Their
vocal arrangements show off each member’s voice, blending southern country
with soulful undertones of their gospel roots.

2023 was a big year for
Chapel Hart. The ladies performed at the CMT Music Awards in April, released
their third studio album Glory Days in May, went on their first headlining
tour over the summer, and in the fall, they made their Grand Ole Opry debut.
In the midst of this journey, they made a stop at The Fair to perform in
the 2023 Chevrolet Music Series.
“As fairgoers who were lucky
enough to see Chapel Hart last year know and experienced, these ladies
have a natural way of bringing people together. They’re talented and they’re
down to earth, and they have a positive energy,” said Fair Director Sean
Hennessey. “We hope fans of country and gospel music save the date
of August 29, and plan to join us at Chevy Court for an evening of beautiful
music. Also, stay tuned! Another ‘heart’-themed announcement is coming
tomorrow. The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series has enough musical variety
to satisfy every preference and genre.”
The Fair starts Wednesday,
August 21, and continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. All concerts
are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this
summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair
in the country.
In total, The Fair’s Chevrolet
Music Series will feature 39 national recording acts. There will be a daily
1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located
near Gate 1), and a daily 8 p.m. concert at Suburban Park
(located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
