“Lisa” Nieves, Allied ASID and interior designer at Clive
Daniel Home’s Boca Raton showroom, has been named President-elect of
the ASID Florida South Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
She will take her oath of office on September 29 during the Design Excellence
Crystal Awards event.

 Lisa’s
primary role as president-elect will include assuming the responsibilities
of the chapter president in her absence; assisting the chapter president
in carrying out the functions of that office and performing specific duties
delegated by the chapter president and facilitating the chapter board in
understanding its role and responsibilities.
A native
of the Fort Lauderdale area, Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior
Design, graduating with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
Her experience includes 12 years as professional designer, coordinating
contract projects in the Miami Design District and responsible for major
installations in the South Florida area. She was formerly the in-house
designer at Concepto Modern Living, the first and largest Calligaris studio
in Florida.
For
the past five years, Lisa has volunteered with the ASID South Florida chapter
in various positions. She is honored to be on the board helping other members|–|students,
industry partners, professional and allied members. At Clive Daniel Home,
Lisa assists her clients in planning their own beautiful spaces, whether
the project is new construction, a remodel, or updating an existing space.
In
the design industry, there are multiple professional designations for interior
designers. An Interior Designer benefits from education through an accredited
institution while a Design Consultant may not have any college credentials
in interior design. Allied ASID members have completed courses in interior
design from an accredited institution. The prestigious ASID appellation
indicates professional membership in the American Society of Interior Designers.
Members are qualified by education and many years of experience.
Located
