Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH –
April 2019 / Newsmaker Alert / The
Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake will launch the new Signature
Immersion Tour, beginning Saturday, April 6. The exclusive wine tour
experience provides guests with the opportunity to travel to select wineries,
while accompanied by The Lodge’s own Certified Wine Specialist, Lauren
Fiala. During the Signature Immersion Tour, Fiala will share engaging and
educational insights about the Grand River Valley Region and the vintners
that have helped make the area one of the fastest growing wine regions
for recognition in the Midwest.
Taking wine country visits
to new levels
“We’ve modeled The Lodge’s
Signature Immersion Tour on the prestigious tours once reserved for Sonoma
and Napa Valley visitors, offering a premier experience for those seeking
a more upscale, experiential excursion,” said Eric Frantz, General Manager,
The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. “We’re looking to create a distinctive
experience that begins with insights from our on-board certified wine specialist
and continues with a private tasting, vineyard tour and other one-of-a-kind
Ohio Wine Country experiences.”
The Signature Immersion Tour
will visit three premier wineries happy to open their doors to share a
more in-depth and behind-the-scenes look. Each guest will receive a canvas
gift bag, wine glass and chocolate from Marianne’s Chocolates, a local
chocolatier. This will all be hosted by The Lodge’s Certified Wine Specialist.

The three wineries the
Signature Immersion Tour will be visiting:
“I am passionate about wine
and enjoy sharing all things wine with others. My winemaking journey has
taken me from the Finger Lakes and the Limestone Coast of Australia to
Matakana, New Zealand. I am thrilled to return to my native Ohio to help
showcase the Grand River Valley region’s exciting winemaking experience,”
said Fiala, who also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Kent State University.
The Signature Immersion Tour
experience, which will depart every Saturday at noon and return to The
Lodge before 5:00 p.m., is $75 per person.
Groups as well as Lodge meeting
and conference attendees will also have the opportunity to arrange for
a private Signature Immersion Tour.
Existing wine shuttle
experiences enhanced
“The Lodge’s existing wine
shuttle experience, referred to as the Deluxe
Winery Shuttle, provides guests with an opportunity to share their
preferences of wineries they would like to visit,” Frantz noted. “It’s
a great way to enjoy a guided introduction to the wealth of local
wineries located throughout Ohio Wine Country. Guests now have the
choice of visiting three or four wineries depending on which best fits
their schedule and interests. Deluxe Winery Shuttle tour schedules are
under driver’s discretion.”
