Boston,
MA – April 2019 / Newsmaker Alert /
GasBuddy,
the only smartphone app connecting drivers with the Perfect Pit Stop, has
debuted its ranking of the top 101 fuel and convenience store (c-store)
brands in the first quarter report card based on more than 2 million ratings
submitted by GasBuddy users in the app between January 1 - March 31, 2019.
The rankings examine fuel and c-store retailers in GasBuddy’s ‘overall
experience’ category.
|
Texas-based
Buc-ee’s received the highest ratings in the GasBuddy app across the top
101 gas station convenience store brands. Rounding out the top five on
the list are Wisconsin-based Kwik Trip (2), Oklahoma-based QuikTrip (3),
Tennessee-based Twice Daily (4) and Pennsylvania-based Wawa (5).
“While
national gas station brands may be top-of-mind for consumers, many of the
brands that received the highest ratings in Q1 are regional brands with
c-store amenities that bring in an enthusiastic consumer base,” says Frank
Beard, convenience store and retail trends analyst at GasBuddy. “GasBuddy’s
ratings and reviews prove that brands of any size can create a long-lasting,
positive experience for consumers by having a well-lit forecourt, clean
restrooms and a great cup of coffee.”
In
addition to ‘GasBuddy’s Top 101 Fuel and Convenience Brands’, the report
also examines fuel and c-store retailers segmented by number of store locations
across the categories of cleanliness, coffee, customer service, outdoor
lighting, restrooms and overall experience.

and reviews data in the GasBuddy app from January 1 - March 31, 2019 focusing
on the overall experience category.
The
remainder of the report examines station ratings and reviews data in the
GasBuddy app from the same timeframe, dividing brands into four segments
based on the total number of retail locations. Segments are classified
based on the number of U.S. locations listed on GasBuddy. Categories for
each segment include cleanliness, coffee, customer service, outdoor lighting,
