Global Connections’ Sea Shells Beach Club
Ideal Family Destination
|
Overland Park, KS – May 2019 / Newsmaker Alert / Global Discovery Vacations (GDV) is a highly respected travel club. Its parent company, Global Connections, Inc. (GCI), GDV’s travel club fulfillment and service provider, is uniquely positioned in that it owns and manages resort properties, as well as leasing hundreds of resort condominium accommodations around the globe. Sea Shells Beach Club (SSBC) is one of GCI’s owned properties. Located in Daytona Beach, Sea Shells Beach Club is considered one of GCI’s most family friendly resorts.

According to Tom Lyons, CEO and President of GCI, “We pride ourselves on providing a wealth of vacation options and leisure benefits to members of Global Discovery Vacations. By both owning and leasing resort properties, we offer our members opportunities to vacation in popular destinations.”

Sea Shells Beach Club (SSBC), has already had a jam packed spring. In April, guests were treated to P1AquaX, a spectacular Jet Ski competition. While competitors and spectators congregated on the beach directly in front of the resort, SSBC guests had VIP front row seats on the resort pool deck to view this fast growing sporting event.

Also, in April, SSBC held its annual employee Spring Brunch. Staff enjoyed brunch prepared by general manager Nancy Russ who said, “This is just one small way that I show my appreciation to the SSBC staff for their hard work during the first third of this year which included Daytona 500, Bike Week, Spring Break and the upcoming Jeep Beach Week.”

More excitement at this Daytona Beach resort included the launching of the NASA Falcon Heavy Rocket from Cape Canaveral, visible from the popular pool deck at Sea Shells Beach Club.

From rocket launching to Sea Turtle Nesting Season, the resort buzzes with activities for all age groups. This year’s nesting season begins in May which means the vibrant resort and its guests must exercise strict rules regarding illumination on the beach. SSBC honors the Volusia County Lighting Ordinance from May through October and works with guests to ensure adherence to the rules which are in place to keep the beach environmentally sound for the turtles.

“There’s always something new going on around Daytona Beach, and Sea Shells Beach Club is right in the center of all the action,” added Nancy Russ.
