Cancun Resort & Spa is proud to introduce its key executive group
that will lead the resort.
Ernesto
Luna has been named General Manager
Mr.
Luna is an experienced manager with a demonstrated history of leading luxury
lifestyle hotel operations. In this role Ernesto will be responsible for
all day-to-day operations, collaborating with Sales & Marketing, overseeing
the F&B program and ensuring top level service standards. Ernesto’s
career kicked off when he joined the Gran Melia in Cancun to open the Royal
Tower in 2000. Following a successful opening, Ernesto was transferred
to Gran Melia Mexico City, then to the Paramount in New York. Following
a successful opening, Ernesto was transferred to Gran Melia Mexico City
then to the Paramount New York. Soon after Ernesto helped launch ME by
Melia and served as the GM for ME Cancun from 2006-2008. This role was
followed by an 8-year tenure as the GM for ME Cabo. Most recently, Ernesto
was the GM for ME Miami prior to joining Haven Resorts.

Florian
Connert has been named Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing
Mr.
Connert is a 20-year hospitality industry veteran with a proven track record
for launching and managing resort marketing efforts. In this role Florian
has driven all pre-opening efforts, from brand conceptualization to creating
rate structures. He actively manages the entire Sales & Marketing team
and day-to-day marketing efforts. Prior to joining Haven, Florian served
as the DOSM of Melia Caribe Tropical launched The Level concept for Melia
Hotels International in the Dominican Republic and Director of Sales, Caribbean
for AMResorts where he oversaw Sales &M efforts for five properties,
including the launch of the Secrets and Sunscape brands in properties ever
Excellence Punta Cana. An avid world traveler, Florian speaks five languages
including German, English, Spanish, Italian and French. He was born in
Salzburg, Austria and currently resides in Playa del Carmen with his wife
and three children.
