“At the new Lakeside Golf
Resort & Event Centre, we are bringing residents the lifestyle that
you typically only get to experience on vacations and holidays, and it’s
very accessible to a broad spectrum of the market because your cottage
can earn rental revenue while you’re not using it – without lifting a finger,”
said Brandon Moore, Lakeside’s Strategic Operations & Marketing Manager,
who was instrumental in cultivating Saskatchewan’s fastest-selling recreational
community development – The Cottages at Elk Ridge, located just outside
of Waskesiu. “Essentially, this magnificent property allows you the privilege
of owning and enjoying a beautiful lake cottage that includes all of nature’s
beauty in Saskatchewan, with the bonus of earning income when not in use.”
Every cottage is situated
on a minimum half-acre lot. Three walkout cottage options offer a cozy
basement with fireplace, and bar and games area for family fun or team-building.
The beautifully-finished open-concept kitchen, living and dining areas
have dramatic vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows
and patio doors opening to a large deck overlooking the golf course and
lake. Double and triple garages can be purchased for personal storage or
to increase the appeal to the rental market.
The 9-hole golf course, the
longest in Saskatchewan from the black tees, was designed by Lakeside’s
owner and developer Dave Ferguson, an avid golfer and former Ontario Golf
Club Champion. With three additional tee deck options, the course is a
perfect fit for both beginners and scratch golfers, who can enjoy its rolling
hills and valleys, lush trees, plants and beautiful sunsets.
The resort’s elegant Event
Centre, slated for construction fall of 2019, is ideal for nature lovers
seeking conventions, weddings and family reunions, particularly when event
attendees require overnight accommodations. The Event Centre boasts expansive
windows overlooking the lake and soaring vaulted ceilings, with numerous
amenities property owners can enjoy.
To date, Phase 1 of the Lakeside
Estates have sold out, which represents 32 residential custom build lots,
many of which have homes constructed with market values more than $1M.
Another 58 lots, representing a newly master planned community called the
Cottages at Lakeside, the majority of which back the golf course with beautiful
vistas of the lake and rolling hills, become available for sale on Friday,
July 5. Those interested can submit their expressions of interest with
a $2,500 fully-refundable deposit no later than June 28 at www.lakesidegolfresort.ca/lotdraw.
Individuals in the lot draw enjoy priority lot selection and a $20,000
discount on their cottage, an incentive reserved only for the opening weekend.
Lakeside offers several styles
and sizes of cottages, ranging from the Prairie Lily, a two-bedroom, 960
sq. ft. model priced at $298,000 (plus tax), to a spacious Prairie Lily,
a 1,631 sq. ft. walkout with loft that sleeps up to 14 people, priced at
