 CMN Hospitals Begins
|
Oklahoma City, OK – August 2018 / Newsmaker Alert / Love’s Travel Stops (Love’s) will raise money for sick and injured children through its five-week store campaign beginning Sunday, Aug. 26 and ending Sunday, Sept. 30. Over the past 18 years, Love’s has raised more than $25 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. During this 19th annual campaign, Love’s is offering its Customers the option of donating by rounding-up their change on gasoline purchases or in-store restaurant purchases. In addition, more than 460 Love’s locations will sell Miracle balloons for $1, $5, or $20 and hold events to raise money for patient families in their communities.

“We are very thankful for our Employees and our Customers who continue to support our CMN fundraising campaign year after year,” said Jenny Love Meyer, vice president of communications for Love’s. “Each year our incredible store teams look forward to getting involved in this campaign to help their local CMN Hospital. We are proud to help save lives in communities where we serve our Customers.”

The campaign raises funds and awareness for 170 CMN Hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across North America. Donations stay local to help care for children in those communities. This year, Love’s hopes to raise more than $3 million through its annual store campaign, which will benefit 101 partner hospitals.

Customers can support kids in their communities by purchasing paper balloons at the registers. Balloons can be purchased with or without additional items. Love’s stores nationwide also organize events like bake sales, cookouts, golf tournaments, 5K runs and more, which provide Customers with additional opportunities to get involved and donate.

Love’s will show additional support for CMN Hospitals this year on National Coffee Day. Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29, Love’s will donate money from the sale of all 24-ounce coffees and cappuccinos to CMN Hospitals. In honor of National Coffee Day, all 24-ounce hot beverages will cost $1.

“We are so grateful for Love’s unwavering commitment to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Love’s employees and customers have fueled our hospitals with so many miles of miracles over the years - like helping provide specialized research, equipment and treatment as well as care for families regardless of their ability to pay. We’re thrilled to see what the campaign brings this year.”
