Elmsford,
NY – May 2019 / Newsmaker Alert / The
Metropolitan Golf Association, one
of the nation’s oldest and largest golf associations, is pleased to announce
it has launched a new update to its My MGA mobile application.
Originally
launched in 2012, My MGA was a market leader that provided Met Area golfers
with a personalized mobile experience to manage and follow their game.
This platform has been completely redesigned with a modern and current
user interface and boasts features such as score posting, a handicap calculator,
championship registration, event results and live scoring, news, and access
to MGA member benefits.
“My
MGA has become one of our most popular platforms used by MGA members,”
said Brian Mahoney, MGA Executive Director. “This robust mobile app is
a strong example of our dedication to provide golfers with a wide range
of member services. It made complete sense to reinvest in this technology
to ensure its continued value and ease of use.”
The
MGA worked with software developer New
Start Mobile, LLC, in the redesign and relaunch effort. New Start developed
the original My MGA and provides similar platforms to multiple designated
Allied Golf Associations (AGA) of the USGA.
“It
was great to continue our relationship with the MGA, said Pete Cuffari,
New Start partner and the lead project developer. “We combined current
best practices and close knowledge of the USGA’ s web services to create
a fresh and completely new platform. We look forward to adding in additional
scoring features and golfer statistics when they are released later this
year.”
