the fourth year in a row, NexusTours
celebrated that latest edition of the Suppliers Awards together with more
than 40 leading tourist sector companies of Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel.
In this event a well-deserved recognition was given to the valuable contribution
of transportation and excursions partners in the area, whom with their
high quality and practices are a fundamental part of the Nexus growth and
success.
The gala was held on August 23rd at the magnificent facilities of the Royalton Riviera Cancun Hotel. To start the ceremony Ruben Gutierrez, Managing Director, expressed his gratitude to his suppliers in Mexico for their commitment to service quality and innovation. He also made a detailed tour by the transformation the company is experiencing with the implementation of its Nexus 2.0 Strategic Plan, and the benefits it will bring to business relationships: “A fundamental component of our DNA is innovation, differentiation and quality. We thank you for sharing these pillars, because together we have the obligation to open the way and generate cutting edge, to continue being regional leaders in the tourism sector.” Subsequently, Rene Giesemann, who recently joined his team as Senior Corporate Director Operations, recognized Nexus’ strength venturing to this new stage that will provide greater quality and satisfaction to its customers. Rene then gave the floor to Reto Staub, Country Director Mexico, who welcomed those present, and took the opportunity to highlight the privilege of working and continue adding efforts to exceed the expectations of its customers, as well as the company’s achievements and future goals. On this occasion, the gala was attended by important industry figures such as Jane Garcia, Benito Juarez’ General Director of Tourism, and Sergio Gonzalez Rubiera, AMAV’s Executive President (Mexican Association of Travel Agencies of Quintana Roo), who also received recognition for their great support for the development of the tourist business in the destination. “NexusTours is a leading company with presence in 15 countries and 48 destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
