Rutter’s Acquires Former Tom’s Location in Milroy
|
The Milroy location will remain open and fully
operational during the transition period

York, PA – April 2019 / Newsmaker Alert / Rutter’s announces that the company has acquired the former Tom’s location in Milroy, Pennsylvania. The store located on 20 Commerce Drive in Milroy, will continue to operate during the multi-million dollar renovation to transform the store into a fully operational Rutter’s, over the next several months.

“This acquisition fits well into our strategic plans and will be a great addition to our chain,” said Scott Hartman, President and CEO of Rutter’s. “We are excited to join this community and look forward to bringing the Rutter’s brand into the area.”

Once the transition is complete, the newly acquired store will feature 10 fueling positions and 6 dedicated high-speed truck diesel fueling stations. The new Rutter’s location will offer fueling options such as flex fuel, unleaded 15, ethanol-free gasoline, kerosene, and off-road diesel, in addition to the standard regular, mid-grade, premium, and auto diesel. For trucks and commercial vehicles, this location will provide high-speed truck diesel, in-lane DEF and a CAT scale.

Inside the store, the current restaurant will be transformed into the award-winning quick service restaurant that Rutter’s is known for, offering the company’s award-winning food and beverage menu that is designed around quality, freshness and local ingredients. Breakfast will be served 24/7, and highlighted by items such as French toast sticks and build your own breakfast sandwiches, with over 30 free toppings. Rutter’s Menu has been recognized as number one in menu variety, with around the clock lunch and dinner offerings, like Rutter’s signature chicken pot pie, BBQ beef short ribs, battered cod sandwiches and the famous Route 30 burger. Coffee lovers will be able to order specialty latte’s and cappuccino’s or create their own coffee masterpiece at the extensive coffee bar.

This new location will offer an assortment of beverage options, including local and national wine, and feature Rutter’s 29-degree Beer Cave, with a vast selection of: domestic, premium, craft, and imported beer and cider. The beverage assortment will also include fresh milk and teas from the Rutter’s dairy business, which opened nearly 100 years ago.

Guests will be able to enjoy free WiFi, large restrooms, and beverage coolers, which provide access to over 600 selections of cold drinks. This location will employ 50 team members and operate 24 hours a day.
