Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club Members
Approve $6 Million Amenities Improvement Plan
|
Scottsdale, AZ – August 2018 / Newsmaker Alert / Members of Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, Florida recently approved a capital assessment which will be directed towards future capital improvements of the clubhouse. The first phase of the capital improvements is expected to begin in the spring of 2019 with completion expected by December 2019. The Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club Board will now finalize the project architect, obtain quotes and choose the general contractor. Total phase one investment is estimated to be between $5 and $6 million.

Proposed amenity improvements in phase one will be centered in-and-around the club’s 30,000 square-foot Mediterranean architecture-inspired clubhouse. The exterior refresh contemplates a new and improved arrival experience at the porte-cochere and main entrance, as well as a new roof and exterior paint. Inside the clubhouse, plans call for a new 19th Hole bar to be built; an expanded and updated fitness facility with new rooms for fitness classes; a complete renovation of the main floor entrance and atrium; an indoor courtyard dining area; an expanded kitchen, including a performance kitchen; and a larger banquet area. In addition, a new multi-level kids club is expected to be added to the clubhouse.
