Beach nominees were announced in late April. Over the next four weeks readers
of USA TODAY voted daily for their favorite beaches to determine
the winners. After the votes were tallied Carolina
Beach (#2), Kure
Beach (#3), and Wrightsville
Beach (#4) ranked among the top four “Best Beaches in North Carolina.”
Winners of the Best
Beaches in 7 Coastal States contest were announced on May 29.
