Syracuse,
NY – May 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: Having sold more than 23 million
albums worldwide and earned two number one albums, +LIVE+ will now
bring their hits from “Throwing Copper” and “Secret Samadhi” and more to
The Fair’s Suburban Park on September 1, at 6 pm.
“Fairgoers told us last year
that they wanted to hear more rock at the Great
New York State Fair, and we are excited to deliver,” said Fair Director
Julie LaFave. “+LIVE+ is an iconic alternative rock band that has certainly
made its mark on the music scene and promises fairgoers a powerful performance
when they make their way to Central New York this summer. We’re excited
to have them help us close out the 2025 Great New York State Fair on a
high note.”

With memorable hits from
the 90s and early 2000s like, Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over
You” and “Lakini’s Juice,” +LIVE+ lives on today as classics on rock radio.
Throwing Copper—which the band celebrated in 2019 with a deluxe 25th anniversary
edition along with a global tour across major festivals, amphitheaters
and arenas—produced the band’s biggest single, “Lightning Crashes,” which
was #1 at Modern Rock radio for ten consecutive weeks.
Throwing Copper reached #1
on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million albums
sold, with Rolling Stone honoring the album with placement on their list,
“1994: The 40 Best Records From Mainstream Alternative’s Greatest Year.”
Secret Samadhi (1997) immediately shot to #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and
eventually went double platinum. The release of the platinum-selling The
Distance to Here (1999) turned +LIVE+ into an international powerhouse
and moved the band from arenas into stadiums. +LIVE+ has been and remains
today a global concert juggernaut.
The Fair starts Wednesday,
August 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 1.
All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale
later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable
state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is
free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.
In total, The Fair’s 2025
