NY June 2025 / NewsmakerAlert: Returning to The Great New
York State Fair this year, the fan favorite JAMS Funk Fest 2025
will present a lineup of great entertainment for the whole family, with
Funk/R&B national recording group Rose Royce headlining the
Chevy
Court Stage on Saturday, August 30.
Performances will kick off
at 12 p.m. and last until 9:30 p.m., with a number of exciting artists
taking the stage throughout the day. Youth group CJack Run Presents will
kick things off at 12 p.m.; followed by Stevie Wolf Blues Express (Mississippi
Blues); UAD (Temptations-style Stepping/singing group); The Music of Enchantment
featuring former recording member, David Banks (National Recording Artist
Stepping/singing group); and The Blacklites (Old School Funk and R&B).
Rose Royce will close the day with their signature Funk and R&B sound
during an 8:15 performance at Chevy Court.

The Grammy Award Winning,
multi-platinum selling group Rose Royce has sold millions of copies of
the album Car Wash, In Full Bloom, and Rose Royce Strikes Again,
just to name a few. Dazzling audiences worldwide, Rose Royce has performed
at sold out venues around the globe. The group currently tours the United
States as well as other parts of the world with their amazing and exciting
show.
Rose Royce is a versatile
group who possesses a multitude of talent and charisma and has successfully
managed to stay fresh and attract new fans. Although Rose Royce is best
known for their great ballads, they are one of the funkiest bands around.
In their forty-five-year
recording history, Rose Royce music continues to be played on radio stations
all over the world, including such sensations as Car Wash, Wishing on
a Star, and I Wanna Get Next To You. Rose Royces music has been re-recorded
or sampled by incredible artists including Beyonce, Seal, and Mary J. Blige.
Its The Fairs 11th year
of partnering with JAMS, and were so excited to present another successful
Funk Fest so fairgoers can enjoy the work of these legendary musicians,
said Director Julie LaFave. Were extremely lucky to have Rose
Royce headline a lineup of incredible artists this year, and we know that
this slate of performers will have fairgoers young and old dancing along.
One of the things that makes The Great New York State Fair great is the
affordable access it provides to those who appreciate music. Here at The
Fair, we can see living legends, up-and-coming artists, and the stars of
today all included in the price of admission!
The JAMS acronym stands
for Joined Artists, Musicians, and Singers. JAMS is a collaborative
of creatives from Syracuse, NY working to enhance the local arts scene
through the offerings of diverse artists.
JAMS Funk Fest represents
our dedication to showcasing legendary talent while nurturing the next
generation of artists. This day is more than just a celebration of music,
its a vibrant gathering that brings together families and fans of all
ages to experience the magic of Funk and R&B. Were thrilled to welcome
Rose Royce and an incredible lineup of artists, including The Music of
Enchantment featuring former recording member David Banks, to The Great
New York State Fair this year, said Reggie Seigler, President of JAMS.
The Fair starts Wednesday,
August 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. All concerts
are included in the price of admission, which are on sale now through
the Fairs recently launched Star-Spangled Savings ticket sale promotion.
The promotional sale closes July 6 at midnight. Tickets will be sold for
a total of $6.28 each, which includes the price of the ticket, $6, ticket
fee, $0.14, and credit card processing fee, $0.14. Each user may purchase
a maximum of 12 tickets. Tickets must be purchased online by visiting
The Great New York State Fairs website.
The Great New York State
Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Regular priced tickets
are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior
citizens aged 65 and older.

Chevrolet
Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be
a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate
1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park (located
on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway). The Fair will
also host two special shows at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 22 and 29 at Chevy
Court.
