now, PURO’s UV-lighting technology would frequently be found in industrial
locations, manufacturing plants, hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
Utilizing exclusive patents and technology, this breakthrough UV disinfection
solution includes the first known high intensity full spectrum UV fixture
that can be installed in a ceiling, suspended, or wall mounted. These fixtures
kill up to 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and can significantly reduce
the growth of fungi such as yeasts and molds when used at the recommended
spacing and runtimes.
“BGV has established a comprehensive list of measures to ensure a safer stay for our owners and guests and provide an added measure of confidence for our employees. We plan to establish usage protocols and work with third-party labs to help design best practices in using the UV lights in our resorts,” says Dudick. “Safety and cleanliness are at the forefront of any conversation and will be long into the future. Our goal is to ease the minds of our guests and show them we have set a new standard in cleanliness. We are working to remove any fear from the vacation experience with the goal of creating lifetime memories and putting the smiles back on peoples’ faces.” This UV lights are currently installed at each BGV Resort (including the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, the Grand Lodge on Peak 7, Grand Timber Lodge, and Gold Point Resort), giving staff the ability to disinfect any room of any size. It can be used on demand or scheduled to run overnight and will be used at all BGV Properties between guest stays to ensure a safe and clean visit, as well as run frequently in all common areas including lobbies, spas and gyms. The General Manager of BGV’s newest resort, the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, Jason Bretz added, “Since receiving the UV lights from PURO, our staff has been developing strategic sequencing plans to ensure that our disinfection process is thorough and efficient. In addition, staff training is well under way and we are looking forward to a successful re-opening (June 1 as it stands today) with a high level of confidence in our disinfection process.” Other usages for the UV lighting technology are in demand. In addition to being implemented in hospitals throughout the United States, PURO Lighting UV Disinfection units can be found in urgent cares, manufacturing facilities, universities, police and fire departments, and fitness centers.
