Daniel Home’s hospitality
division has transformed scores of spaces, having worked with countless
hoteliers and commercial clients to create memorable country clubs, community
centers, banks, and other public spaces around the globe. The team’s latest
renovation was completed right here in southwest Florida at Navona
at the Colony, the luxury high-rise in Bonita Springs.
The
project was intended to be a multi-phase refresh, but after Hurricane Ian
flooded the building and left significant damage last fall, its scope widened
and the timeline was pushed up. Led by interior designer Maryanne
Hubbell, the team selected new paint, lighting, drapes, accessories,
furnishings, and flooring for all indoor and outdoor common areas, including
the entry, lobby, social room, fitness facility, theater, guest suites,
and pool and pavilion. With the exception of the lobby flooring, every
surface was updated.

The
original design featured warm tones, heavy fixtures, and dated furniture
while the new design is much more fluid, light, and elegant. The final
look incorporates clean-lined furniture, floating chandeliers, and organic
accents.
According
to Hubbell, “The renovation provided an updated look and soothing color
palette for this luxurious high-rise. We designed custom carpeting, selected
stunning lighting and furnishings, and planned special touches throughout.”
The
impact of the renovation is not surprising; common area renovations are
one of Clive Daniel Hospitality’s specialties, having completed similar
projects for numerous high-rises and condominiums. The team designs with
the end use in mind and a focus on creating dramatic improvements through
the renovation process, and they worked with Navona at the Colony’s HOA
committee to approve all design selections and renovation plans.
