| | “Our company’s roots are in managing year-round mountain resorts like Outbound Mammoth,” said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality. “This property is an exciting addition to our management portfolio. Outbound Mammoth is located in an iconic destination with access to all of the amazing activities the Sierra Nevada Mountains have to offer. The resort has a storied history and recently was renovated to welcome a new era of guests.” The
property, which is part of the four-property Outbound hotels, recently
completed a multi-year renovation designed to preserve some of the resort’s
classic features while providing modern enhancements for today’s traveler.
Outbound Mammoth offers a wide range of lodging options from newly renovated
guest rooms to 19 chalets that offer multiple rooms, dining areas and full
kitchens for larger groups. There are 10 newly-built cozy studio cabins
and a selection of guest villa accommodations.
Outbound Mammoth offers three casual food and beverage options. Bar Sierra is the property’s newest restaurant that brings a California twist to barbecue comfort food. The Café Crepe food truck offers sweet and savory crepes for breakfast, lunch and dessert. Guests also can enjoy relaxing and unwinding after a day of play in the mountain at the Lobby Wine Bar. The resort has an extensive list of year-round amenities including an outdoor pool and hot tub, four fire pits as well as a fitness center with sauna and steam room. In the winter, the resort offers a free mountain shuttle for easy access to more than 3,500 acres of skiable terrain at Mammoth Mountain. Outbound Mammoth also offers discount ski and snowboard rentals through a partnership with Black Tie Ski Rentals, which provides on-site rental delivery and fittings. Special summer offerings include 24-hour rentals of lightweight, packable Oru Kayaks to explore many of the lakes in the surrounding area. After playing hard, guests can recover with Hyperice’s Normatec compression products that rejuvenate muscles and stimulate circulation. Daily events and activations mark the Outbound Mammoth experience with options like s’mores by the fire pits, happy hour specials, trivia nights and the Outbound Music Series featuring an array of intimate performances. Outbound Mammoth is pet-friendly offering a selection of rooms for visitors with four-legged friends. The Pup Provisions Program provides dogs with pup treats at check-in, a pup-approved toy and a Pendleton bed to use during their stay. The property also is a great base camp for creative team building events, social activities, weddings and more. In the winter, Outbound Mammoth guests can enjoy skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, snowmobiling and dog sledding. The destination awakens in the summer with unlimited activities such as water sports at several of the nearby lakes, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, golfing, kayaking and paddleboarding or soak in one of the nearby hot springs. The east entrance to Yosemite National Park is an hour’s drive from Mammoth via Tioga Pass offering adventures on the John Muir Trail or exploring Crane Flat and Tuolumne Meadows.
