On a sprawling, 33-acre campground, campers are encouraged to discover their passions and develop the skills to become active participants and leaders in their schools, peer groups and communities. Cowboy Chicken of Oklahoma City opened on Feb. 6 in a 2,476-square-foot space across from the Memorial Square Shopping Center. The restaurant, open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., features a contemporary dining area with a rustic feel highlighted by a central rotisserie, allowing diners to watch chickens roasting over an open flame. It is Cowboy Chicken’s 22nd location, and the first to be operated by Trammell and the Southern Fired Hospitality Group. Cowboy
Chicken serves all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens that are hand-seasoned
in store, marinated for 24 hours and then slowly roasted for two hours
over a real wood-burning fire. Other dishes include signature sour cream
tomatillo chicken enchiladas, abundant scratch-made sides such as Twice
Baked Potaters™, Baked Mac & Cheese, Ranchero Beans and seasonal cobblers
baked in-house daily. Cowboy Chicken’s hearty and healthy dishes are available
during lunch and dinner for dine-in, take out, catering and delivery.
