Each episode airs for two consecutive weekends on News 12 Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Westchester, Hudson Valley, and Brooklyn, along with a 45-second teaser which is aired during the weekday newscasts to promote the show. This ensures Discover Long Island is fully visible on the screens of consumers of News 12 nearly 7 days a week. Discover Long Island also repurposes the videos on its own social channels and platforms, expanding each promotion to even more viewers. Since the launch of the partnership, Discover Long Island has seen a 28% increase in the engagement rate on DiscoverLongIsland.com, a 13% increase in engagement time on the site, and an overall active user increase of more than 17K users. The most popular landing pages on Discover Long Island’s website, since the partnership launch, have shown to be Events, Things to Do, and Things to Do With Kids, highlighting that locals, families, and day trippers are turning to DLI as a resource for Long Island travel and adventure inspiration. A total of seven segments have aired thus far, highlighting the following Discover Long Island partners: The Riverhead Ciderhouse, The Suffolk in Riverhead, Sound View Greenport, East Wind Shoppes, McCall Wines, Calissa in Water Mill, and 1770 House. Other DLI partners confirmed to be featured in upcoming segments include: Greenport Brewing, Hero Beach Club, and Splish Splash. Through engaging storytelling and immersive visuals, these segments will offer viewers an exclusive glimpse into the hidden gems, unique experiences, and unparalleled hospitality that define the East End. This partnership between Discover Long Island and News 12 Long Island will run until the end of December 2024.
