State Contract Furnishings (GScf), a provider of high-quality design
and furnishings to the hospitality industry for more than thirty years,
announced the completion of a major renovation of Holiday Inn Express in
Milford, Massachusetts, including rooms, public areas, front desk and exercise
room. The property – part of an expansion of their portfolio on the part
of franchisee Lafrance Hospitality
Company – called for some customization, which was approved by the
franchise company’s corporate office. Lafrance Hospitality Company selected
GScf to provide enhancements to follow Holiday Inn’s guidelines while upholding
the hotelier’s high standards for quality, durability and eye appeal.
“Because
guests were being accommodated during the remodeling, the challenge was
to ensure that none of them were inconvenienced,” says Lafrance Hospitality
Partner Tim Burkhardt. “We were pleased to see GScf achieve this goal while
staying well within budgetary strictures. We’ve hired GScf to handle a
number of refurbishment and remodeling projects for us over the years and
they have always done a terrific job.”
“GScf
supplied and installed completely new lighting, tile and carpeting, wallpaper
and case goods,” says GScf President Jim Mirabella. “It was a pretty large
assignment to accomplish a total renovation while many of the rooms in
the hotel were occupied. But the hotel staff was great about working with
us to plan which floors and sections to handle and in what order. Together,
I think we made a pretty formidable team, when all is said and done.”
